Royal is redefining music ownership. Helmed by co-founders Justin Blau (3LAU) and JD Ross, Royal uses blockchain technology to enable anyone to own rights in songs. Music ownership has historically been limited to labels, private equity, and hedge funds, with artists often retaining only a small percentage of ownership, if any. Royal gives artists the ability to maintain control over their work, share a piece of it with their fans, and access a new revenue stream as they build deeper connections with people who are invested in their music’s success.
